As the Vice President of Technology, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technological landscape of our data center company. You’ll be responsible for driving innovation, ensuring operational excellence, and safeguarding our IT infrastructure. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll lead strategic initiatives, manage technical resources, and align technology solutions with business objectives.

  • Collaborate and execute the technology vision, strategy, and roadmap for the organization.
  • Identify emerging trends, evaluate new technologies, and recommend integration opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, agility, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust IT infrastructure within our data centers.
  • Ensure scalability, reliability, and security of network operations, systems administration, and cloud services.
  • Implement best practices in cybersecurity to protect against threats.
  • Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, including network engineers, and system administrators
  • Foster collaboration, skill development, and career growth within the technology team.
  • Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Manage risk and maintain business continuity plans.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives, including automation, virtualization, and cloud adoption.
  • Champion the adoption of cutting-edge technologies to enhance efficiency and performance.
  • Evaluate and recommend third-party products and services for integration into our facilities.
  • Negotiate contracts, manage vendor relationships, and optimize technology investments.
  • Work closely with other department heads (Operations, Finance, Security) to align technology initiatives with overall business goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operation of company-wide systems.
  • Develop, enforce, and regularly update IT policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with NIST 800, SOC 2, ISO 27001, and other relevant DC compliance frameworks.
  • Develop, implement, and regularly test comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity plans
  • Develop and maintain client-facing technology solutions that provide transparency, control, and value-added services to data center customers.
  • Continuously analyze and optimize technology costs while maintaining or improving service quality and reliability.

Desired Skills, Qualifications and Competencies include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Proven experience (typically 10+ years) in technology leadership roles, preferably within data center environments.
  • Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, and cloud technologies.
  • Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to navigate complex technical challenges while aligning with business priorities.
  • Experience with problem solving in complex projects that have a company-wide impact
