The Operations Data Analyst at IREN will play a key role in monitoring and improving operational excellence at our sites. This position will work with site teams to benchmark performance, investigate areas of underperformance, and adjust datacenter configurations for optimal performance. This role gives unique visibility over all the operational segments of a bitcoin mining and AI cloud business.

The Operations Data Analyst at IREN will play a key role in monitoring and improving operational excellence at our sites. This position will work with site teams to benchmark performance, investigate areas of underperformance, and adjust data center configurations for optimal performance. This role gives unique visibility over all the operational segments of a bitcoin mining and AI cloud business.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain report and resolution process for operational incidents
- Maintain report and verification process for maintenance events
- Maintain report and reconciliation process for DC performance KPIs
- Maintain report and reconciliation process for miner failures, repairs and warranty
- Maintain report of DC configuration (e.g. firmware and proxy use, alert thresholds)
- Be the main point of contact for BC sites’ operational data
- Support R&D projects as required
- Support development and maintenance of operations’ dashboards as required
Desired Skills, Qualifications and Competencies include:
- Bachelor’s degree required; a focus in Finance, Engineering or Analytics is preferred
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience, preferably in the energy sector or heavy industry
- Full proficiency in Excel, strong command of PowerPoint and Word
- Strong command of Python and SQL, respectively for analysis and data visualization
- Experience designing and maintaining structured spreadsheet templates
- Excellent attention to details and ability to work with deadlines
- Team player with strong desire for growth and development
