IREN is currently looking for a US – Miner Repair Technician to join our Childress, TX team.

Responsibilities

  • Board-level repair of Bitcoin miners and other servers.
  • Maintaining the physical network of the data center.
  • Physical installation, removal, and movement of miners.
  • Maintaining accurate, up-to-date documentation for all services performed.
  • Using electronics testing equipment to troubleshoot, repair, and test faulty Bitcoin miners.
  • Maintain proper documentation and track repairs using our work order system.
  • Working with the IT systems engineer to configure and maintain our network infrastructure.
  • Ensuring all work is conducted safely and efficiently according to guidelines and regulations.
  • Assisting with other facility repairs and special project execution.
  • Supporting the Supervisor in developing and implementing short- and long-term maintenance programs and standards.
  • Conducting regular inspections of the work environment and equipment to identify potential issues and make repairs as needed.

Desired Skills, Qualifications, and Competencies include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
  • Pass a Criminal Record Check.
  • Experience repairing electronics, computer boards, or other relevant experience will be given priority.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capable of working in a variety of indoor and outdoor industrial settings, including in adverse weather conditions and at heights.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in challenging conditions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to be flexible with changing work conditions and required tasks, willingness to take on projects that are a departure from everyday duties.

Other Important Requirements:

  • A clear Criminal Record Check is required.
  • Must provide own steel-toed work boots; all other PPE supplied.
  • Must be able to reliably commute to the operations site daily or have plans to relocate before starting work.
