The mission of the Contract Coordinator is to establish and facilitate best practices in contractor/supplier and documentation management, assisting the construction and procurement teams in achieving effective and efficient construction operations to support IREN’s growth targets. The Contract Coordinator will successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position while demonstrating IREN Vision, Mission and Core Values.

Responsibilities :

    • Preparation of documentation and coordinating approval processes for construction contracts, work orders, purchase orders, change orders and requests for information (RFI)
    • Work with internal commercial and procurement partners to support construction tendering and request for quotation (RFQ) processes
    • Maintain contract registers, develop and coordinate contract compliance tracking processes
    • Maintain and manage all contractor and supplier documentation
    • Develop cash flow projections off contract commitments with monthly updates
    • Vett new contractors and verify all requirements are complied with such as insurance, safety systems and procedures, quality, resource and technical capabilities and credit ratings etc.
    • Assist construction team with the implementation of contractor/supplier optimization and contractor/supplier risk management initiatives
    • Review and ensure invoices are accurate to contract & progress
    • Liaise with Accounts Payable and procurement team on invoice approvals
    • Coordinate material returns, credits and refusals process while ensuring cost efficient handling
    • Initiate, document, track & coordinate warranty claims using NCR process
    • Perform additional duties as directed

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred or similar training in Business Administration with Contracts concentration, or relevant education and/or experience
    • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
    • Experience managing and/or coordinating contracts in the construction or electrical industry highly regarded
    • Demonstrated accomplishments in handling diverse and complex contracting, tendering, procurement and contractual responsibilities
    • Understand legal terms and conditions, and experience with legal contracts from a compliance perspective
    • Working knowledge of contracting and procurement techniques, procedures, policies and accounting
    • Highly proficient with MS Office programs, construction-specific project management software experience would be a plus

    Other important Requirements:

    • A clear Criminal Record Check is required
    • Must provide own steel toed work boots, all other PPE supplied
    • Must be able to reliably commute to the operations site daily or have plans to relocate before starting work
