The Construction Administrator will work closely with our construction crew and contractors in a general administrative role to ensure the overall project’s progression.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and assist in the preparation of capital budgets and cost tracking reports
  • Support collation of routine construction reports & progress trackers
  • Find efficient, professional, cost-effective methods to assist the team in day-to-day office administration tasks.
  • Procure/maintain office supplies, maintain files, assist manage travel arrangements.
  • Support construction management meetings – scheduling, tracking attendance, taking minutes and distribution
  • Track purchase requisitions / orders & support accounts payable process.
  • Manage & administer RFI & Transmittal processes.
  • Support credit card expense reporting and AP invoice management processes as required.
  • Collate force and swipe reports from security swipe card report
  • Data entry for construction progress tracking/analytics as required.
  • Data entry into Site Docs safety system to maintain records of safety activities and meetings
  • Professional attitude and handling of inquiries, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in communication and documentation.

Desired Skills, Qualifications and Competencies include:

  • Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook with the ability to navigate the internet.
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in a support or administrative assistant role preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in the construction industry preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional demeanor.
  • Ability to take initiative, complete tasks quickly, and handle competing priorities.
  • Dependable, committed, and conscientious in performing tasks.
  • Ability to find cost-effective solutions and meet business demands.
  • Focused, deadline-driven, and capable of overcoming setbacks.

Other Requirements:

  • A clear Criminal Record Check is required.
  • Some overtime work required
  • Must provide own steel toed work boots, all other PPE supplied.
  • Must be able to reliably commute to the operations site daily or have plans to relocate before starting work.
